If you’re looking for a more personal social media experience, one that caters to your specific interests (no, really), Tribel is the place for you.
What is Tribel?
Tribel is a new social media platform available in the app store, and it’s taking the industry by storm, with many calling it “the Facebook killer”. It is a place where content matters (finally) and you aren’t constantly being served up ads, sponsored posts, boosted posts, groups, and promotions. Tribel is a positive, upbeat, collaborative community where meaningful connections are made through common interests.
Whereas other social media networks focus on ‘what’s on your mind’, Tribel focuses on ‘what interests you’. That could be sharing content that is of specific interest to you, like a cute pic of your doggie on #nationalrescuedogday (hashtags are common, although we’ll show you later about the cool feature to post in a category as well). This could also be sharing newsworthy articles, posts, memes, trends, and opinions.
Tribel’s mission is to create a community where people feel truly connected through meaningful contributions. It’s no longer “all about me” but it’s “all about great content”.
The experience plucks attributes from popular social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, then packages up and delivers an unrivaled experience.
Why is Tribel different?
When you download and sign up for the Tribel social media app, you fill out your profile details such as name, date of birth, image, username, etc., just as you’d expect. But what makes Tribel unique is how you immediately select topics of interest to you. Because all of its content is categorized and filtered to your desires, it makes your feed much more interesting and engaging.
The hashtag was introduced by Twitter in 2009 so users could group content based on commonalities. This method of filtering content has been insanely successful, as all social media companies adopted the strategy. In theory, grouping content in such a succinct way makes obvious sense and is insatiably beneficial for people and businesses alike. However, the execution of the hashtag search is not painless.
In today’s digital world, we expect ease of use. So, come on, let’s be honest, switching keyboards to find the # symbol, then back to the letter keyboard to type out your hashtag search term, which often has to be re-typed if autocorrect does not like your word… It’s too much work. Shouldn’t it be easier just to find content about TV shows, trendy celebrities, or travel destinations? Tribel recognizes this as the daunting task it is and simplifies it by creating categories that users can post into so other users can see that grouped content easily, quickly, and accurately.
The hashtag is still usable inside the Tribel app, but when you click to post, you will be prompted to select a topic and/or subtopic the post will be routed into. What’s really fun is the ability to filter your feed to only show posts from a selected category.
But wait, there’s more!
Ever get super sick and tired of seeing posts about a particular issue? Let’s say you are not a fan of politics, the NFL, and shocking videos. You can choose to show anything and everything except those three topics. Boom! Your feed is not going to deliver content included in any of those categories, hooray!
Another feature of Tribel is how content appears in separate feeds. You can view your friends’ feed independent of those you follow (similar to TikTok). Once you’re done perusing the people’s posts, easily click to view a breaking news feed or a trending news feed. Now, of course, these are also posts from people – but the feeds are enriched with the news you want based on category filters and topics of interest customized to you.
How does Tribel use my data?
Tribel uses only what information you tell us about yourself to keep your content feeds streamlined and tailored to topics of most interest to you. It doesn’t impose on every activity you engage in on your device just to turn around and expose you to unwanted content like ads, suggested posts, promotions, sponsored or boring messages. You are in control of your content, not only what you share, but what you are shown. Tribel takes social media privacy very seriously and it does not sell your data or share your data with third party resources.
Is Tribel free?
Yes, Tribel is free to download and free to use – forever. Now, when other social media networks claim to be free, in terms of money, sure – they’re free. However, time is money! And the other social platforms definitely charge you for your time, with senseless advertising, irrelevant promotions, constant group posts, and even suggested content that misses the mark a lot. Did you really want to see another friend suggestion for that one person you don’t even like?
What is the background of Tribel?
Tribel was founded in 2022 by Omar Rivero, a tech entrepreneur and prominent American politician and influencer. He took his extensive experience in media and journalism, coupled with deep passion for creating meaningful online interactions, and built the social media mogul, Tribel. “I initiated the platform with my own communities, cultivating a space where users could engage, learn, and share within a dynamic and inclusive digital environment,” Rivero explains.
Tribel will continue to succeed and grow because of its commitment to providing a distinctive content sharing experience that bridges the gap between traditional forums and contemporary social media. Tribel remains dedicated to its vision of promoting diverse discussions, knowledge-sharing, and community engagement.
